Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo are “Jammin’ wit da Jaguars” during the wildest night at the zoo. “A Wild Affair” will take place on Saturday September 7, 2013. Lee Richardson Zoo will be closed September 7 to prepare for the festivities. The evening features live music from the Smokin’ No-Nos, a comedy act along with live and silent auctions, and adult beverages served while local restaurants and caterers provide a delicious “taste of Southwest Kansas.” Event takes place under the stars in the Wild Asia exhibit. Doors open at 6 p.m. at the Finnup Center for Conservation Education, located at 312 Finnup Drive. Food is served until 8 p.m. “A Wild Affair” is Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo’s largest fundraiser of the year. Tickets are $45 and must be purchased in advance as they will not be available at the door. Purchase by September 1 and save $5 during early bird sales. Guests must be 21 to enter.
