The Lee Richardson Zoo Education Department offers free educational programs on a variety of "Zoo-ey" topics.
Both children and adults will enjoy exploring the strange and fascinating world of nature right here in Southwest Kansas.
Meet some unusual animals from around the globe, touch a lion's pelt, or learn how the rain forest affects our daily lives.
All programs are available by reservation only, and must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Longer lead times are recommended for programs to take place in the spring months, and for DL programs. To make a reservation, or for more information, please contact the Education Department at (620) 276-1250.
All programs are presented by zoo staff and trained volunteers called Docents. Education programs take place in the Finnup Center for Conservation Education located near the zoo exit gate at the corner of 5th Street and Finnup Drive.
