The Lee Richardson Zoo Education Team offers educational programs on a variety
of conservation topics
Programs are available by reservation only and must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance

PROGRAM TYPES
GUIDED WALKING TOUR
Guided walking tours will provide you with fun and interesting facts about the zoo and are led by zoo staff or volunteers who are intimately familiar with the zoo
EDUCATION CENTER PROGRAMS
Choose from one of our pre-designed programs that align with educational standards, or have a program created to meet your particular needs. All programs are led by a trained docent volunteer or staff member, take place in the Finnup Center for Conservation Education, and are free of charge
ZOOMOBILE
Bring the zoo to your classroom! ZooMobiles are a great way to provide a fun, engaging, interactive and educational experience to your class, club, or social gathering without the hassle of permission slips and travel arrangements. All ZooMobiles include live animals or biofacts and are presented by a trained docent volunteer or zoo staff member. A variety of topics are available that align with Kansas state education standards, or we can customize a program to fit your needs. ZooMobiles are free to locations in Garden City and Holcomb and are available for a fee to destinations up to 70 miles away
VIRTUAL ZOO TRIPS
We provide interactive programming to locations around the world. Topics align with national standards and can be customized to fit your needs. All programs include live animals or biofacts and are presented by a zoo professional
